Medical Schools
When considering a career as a doctor, you will find that the medical school admission requirements are more then grades that you make in undergraduate classes. Again, like the GPA, you do not need a killer MCAT score to get into medical school. The first year of residency training has mainly to do with a general medical internship while a specialty training of a student’s specific specialization will begin in the 2nd year.
It requires undergraduate school study (4 years), medical school degree (4 years), followed by internships and residency that typically last for 2 years in the US. Medical school is an extremely exhausting time in your life, particularly once you start your internship.
Individual membership totals over 300,000, which includes 106,000 resident physicians, 125,000 faculty members, and 75,000 medical students. It is becoming increasingly more common for U.S. students to attend medical school in other places. The East Virginia Medical School offers not only degrees in medicine, but also many other health care degrees.
US News and World Report have ranked Harvard Medical School first among American Research medical schools. The remote island of Sint Eustasius, (St Statia), is also known for its underwater beauty as well as the University of Sint Eustasius Medical School. The medical schools of Washington offer graduate and post graduate doctoral degree courses.
In general, the GPA, the MCAT scores, the application material, the recommendation letters (written by faculty, physicians or managers who have interacted with the applicant in co-curricular activities), and personal interview are the main areas used by admission committees to evaluate candidates.
